Cactus Macro Photography

Check out my blog at www.fotoinusgrobler.com

A macro photo of a cactus with a pink flower. I took this photo at a plant nursery. I used the same lighting technique as in my previous post: http://www.fotoinusgrobler.com/blog/2016/3/2/a-grasshopper-on-stair-railings-how-to-take-macro-pictures-with-a-speedlite

I held a speedlite in my left hand and my camera in my right hand. I set the focus to the closest focusing distance and moved the camera until the cactus was in focus and then took the photo. I used a TAMRON SP 90mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Macro lens that has a 1:1 focusing ratio.

This photo was taken in June 2014 with a Canon 5D MkIII and TAMRON SP 90mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Macro.

Camera Settings: f/16.0, 1/200 seconds and ISO 100
