I took this photo during a 3-month trip through Eastern Canada and the Eastern United States. Throughout the trip, there were several good sunrises, but until this evening, the sunsets I'd seen had been, for the most part, fairly forgettable. This evening, I was driving along Shenandoah National Park's Skyline Drive and was treated to some of the most vivid clouds I'd seen before. A three-quarters full moon happened to be in just the right place at just the right time for me to get this photo.
