Salad «Fish under a fur coat»
— salted herring fillet — 300 g,
— potatoes — 4 PCs,
carrots — 2-3 pieces,
— onions — 2 PCs,
— 5 eggs,
— beets — 4 PCs,
Beets, potatoes and carrots good wash and fill with water. Cook vegetables until tender, remove from water and leave to cool. Then cleaned and three on a coarse grater.
While vegetables cook, place eggs in a small saucepan, pour water, add salt and cook for hard-boiled to readiness. Let cool in cold water, remove the shell and grate (one yolk to leave for decoration).
Salted fish cut into small pieces. Onion, peeled and washed, finely chop and pour over boiling water.
When all the components are ready, begin to put layers on flat dish. From salted herring do the first layer, spreading it in the form of fish. On it lay minced onion. Further spread layers, lubricating each layer of mayonnaise and podsalivaya, the following ingredients: potatoes, eggs, carrots. Spread the final layer of beets and mayonnaise.
Decorate the salad by cutting one of the halves of onion scales from the egg white — eye, and cooked carrots — the fins and tail. Ready salad put in the fridge to steep at least a couple of hours.
