Mustang Valley

I took this photo on the fifteenth day of my Annapurna circuit trek, and three days after passing over Thorong La. Thorong La is the pass that stands at an elevation of 5,416 meters (17,769 feet), and separates the shockingly different Manang and Mustang Districts of north-central Nepal. Seen here is the village of Kagbeni, taken from the south, on the Mustang (western) side of Thorong La. Beyond the village lies the northern end of the Mustang Valley, which leads into Tibet.
