EMERALD MOTH Geometra papilionaria

This large emerald moth (Geometra papilionaria) visited our garden here on the North Devon and Cornwall border, England, UK. I don't think I had ever seen one before or perhaps I had just not noticed. I took shots from ground level rather than the standard wings view from above. This required some careful crawling about so as not too disturb this beautiful insect. It is a whole new, almost alien, world at this macro level.

Thanks shi - it's an unusual one isn't it? Not seen one since I took this a while ago.
