Moonrise in Bridger-Teton National Forest

Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks can be approached from several different directions, and each road has its advantages and disadvantages. Highway 287 approaches Grand Teton National Park from the east, through Bridger-Teton National Forest, and as I usually come to the area from the southeast, it's my preferred route. The full (or nearly-full) moon visible in the upper right corner of this shot provided me enough visible light to set up my tent long after the sun had set, and make the most of a beautiful summer day's plentiful sunshine.
