This is my first attempt at a photo of a burning flowering. I got the idea from a Youtube video by Digital Rev TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBSN7rmJ_GI. I had to burn a few flowers before I got this photo.
The flower was put in a can filled with ground to hold the flower upright. I covered the table with aluminium foil to protect the table. I covered the flower with alcohol and set the flower alight and took a few photos as the flower burnt. I used a softbox to light the flower. The flash was set to low power in order to make sure the flash does not overpower the flame.
This photo was taken in November 2013 with a Canon 5D MkIII and Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM @ 105mm
Camera settings: f/8.0, 1/60 and ISO 400
