Tornado

Tornado

Tornadoes are created when warm moist air becomes trapped underneath a layer of cold, dry air. When the warm bottom layer gets pushed up, the moist rises, cools down, and then forms clouds and thunderstorms. If conditions favor, the rapidly rising air begins to spin in a funnel. A tornado is born when the funnel touches the ground.
