Quince tree is 4 to 6 m tall tree that can be found in Asia and Europe. It blooms in May and June and has a white to pink flowers. Petals of flowers are long between 2 and 5 cm. Since better thrives in warmer regions, most commonly cultivated in the vineyard environment.
The fruit of the quince fruit is similar to apples or pears (from which they came two varieties of quince and pear jabukolika). Quince is possible to prepare compote, jelly, and juice.
Quinces are often planted at the foot of the pear tree and other fruit trees and tall born after 4-8 years. Propagation by cuttings and crossing works only sometimes.
Quince fruit contains a lot of Vitamin C, followed by potassium, sodium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, pectin and other organic and inorganic acids. The seeds of quince contains various mucus, oil and toxic cyanide glycoside.
