Horseshoe Bend, which lies just outside of Page, Arizona, has become a popular spot for photographers in the last few years, and with good reason. It is only a three-quarter mile hike to get to the viewpoint from which I took this photo. The Colorado River is responsible for the shape of the canyon here, and just a bit further downstream from Horseshoe Bend lies possibly the most famous canyon in the world – the Grand Canyon.
