As many of us know them, the ladyfinger, those finger-sized sponge biscuits are used to prepare the kernel of the cake. They are soaked in coffee, sweet wine, dark rum or cognac in different parts of the world. Then you will have to follow the next steps where more ingredients will be added. Mascarpone, egg yolks and sugar form a mixture which fill some of the empty spaces and layer filling. You also have to top the layers with some cocoa or coffee powder, by each ones preference.
