Rapeseed (Brassica napus), also called Reps or Lewat, is a plant species from the family of the cruciferous plants (Brassicaceae). It is an economically important crop. The seeds are used mainly for the extraction of rapeseed oil and the coupling product rapcough. The plug-in beetle Brassica napus subsp. Rapifera is a subspecies of rape (Brassica napus).
