DARTMOOR PONIES AT FOGGINTOR QUARRY ON DARTMOOR

Beautiful Dartmoor ponies graze amid the barren peace of atmospheric ruined buildings next to the old granite quarry workings of Foggintor Quarry, near Merrivale between Tavistock and Princetown in Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England, UK. Remains of the old granite railway track and several immense dressed stone granite corbels (apparently destined for London Bridge) are still on the moor from a cancelled Victorian era order. A fascinating place which has seen human occupation for millennia.
