Deer in Stonor Park.

The Stonor Estate is home to a herd of fallow deer, that have grazed here since medieval times, when the thyme flavoured Stonor venison was much prized at Court.

As deer don't have any predators (in the UK) and overpopulation results in starvation, the deer are culled. When a cull is on, the path is closed to the public.
