Me and my good friend Kashish had been to an epic Safari through the forests of Yala in Sri Lanka. We had spent a great day exploring the region, watching animals, observing the eco system, lunch on the banks of a forest river, indulging ourselves in the ideal safari experience. The day was coming to an end, but we wanted so much more... we were hungry for a good sunset.. so we told our safari guide to take us to a killer vantage point to view a sunset that evening. He took us to this place situated just on the outskirts of the village and the view was an absolute bliss. A huge lake and hills in the distance with the sun setting behind it. The sunset happened and as always I wait for the post sunset colours. Suddenly for a brief moment the sky exploded into a magenta fireball. We stood there, the three of us, just mesmerized by the sight. It was the cherry on top of the cake.
