I try to make this like a ritual to go hiking/trail running every Sunday whether alone or with a family member or two. Originally we set out take on another trail on the other side of the 91 freeway but a kind local intrigued us to a more fulfilling unknown trail.
We walked along the freeway on a popular attraction known as the Santa River (bike) trail towards a freeway overpass that lead to beginning of the unknown trail. We ended up hiking two miles in the wrong direction therefore had to backtrack. Eventually, we got one the right track and after three miles of inclining up the mountain we made it to the spot seen in the photo.
If we've taken the original trail we set out for I doubt I would've caught some great photos of this valley.
