The old railway bridge

The bridge was originally built in 1884 and has twice been destroyed . In its place stood the first Belgrade's first railway bridge , over which went railroad that connected Belgrade and Zemun . The bridge was opened on 20 August 1884, stood on six stone pillars and was 462 meters long and weighs 7,200 tons. It was destroyed during the First World War , rebuilt in 1919 and again demolished in 1941
