Thanks, Richard! I looked at the link you sent, and it amazes me how much work went into making that bridge. Then to take it apart, catalog each stone, ship it and reassemble it here, and get it right. Just amazing!!!!
Great shot Bill. You might be interested to know that the granite stone for the bridge came from Dartmoor not far from me here in the UK. The original remote Victorian quarry, at Foggintor, near Merrivale and associated buildings and railway is now deserted and in ruins. However there are still huge dressed pieces of stone corbels on the moor that history relates was originally destined for use on this bridge until the order was cancelled. A fascinating area.
