“A season of loneliness and isolation is when the caterpillar gets its wings. Remember that next time you feel alone.”
― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass
I just love how this little guy contrasted with the flower he was obviously devouring in between rest periods! He seemed a bit lonely, though. I didn't see another one around anywhere, and I started wondering where he would be off to next. Would he stay around here, or would he find other caterpillars when he is closer to his changing stage? But I guess I'll never know. As small as they are, they tend to disappear quite quickly! Either way, I felt that there was a lesson here somewhere, and I chose to think that he/she would turn into a pretty little butterfly (or moth, not sure!), and find some pretty friends to spend the summer with. No one should be lonely...
