I was born in Viareggio (Italy) in 1954. Rummaging in the memories of my childhood, I am reminded of objects that exerted on me and curiosity that I found fascinating, cameras, movie cameras, projectors. I still remember with emotion the first picture that magically emerged from a Polaroid, probably a passion for photography was born from there. The trips are my other great passion, which over time has become one with the photograph. Europe I turn a little bit all over. In recent years I have been in Mexico, Honduras, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Burma, Bangladesh, Thailand, India and Madagascar, the country where I've been many times and where I lived for long periods. The last trip I did in Kenya, in 2014. For me photography is a mix of elements that make that portion of the reality that you want to capture. The technique combined with the curiosity, the feeling in a swirl of colors that describe the deepest sense. A complete art form, a universal language that transcends boundaries and reaches where other languages would not be able to communicate. A picture conveys a different feeling every time you look at it, just like a text that reveals hidden details after each reading. This is the magic of photography, a shutter that even today, perhaps more than ever, fails to excite us, to make us smile, to change our mood and influence the way we perceive reality.
